Enjoyed our stay, friendly welcome, good facilities, great bed and good location.
it was NOT made clear the pool was an additional cost. That money should be refunded.
Lovely, large room. Well furnished. Spotlessly clean. Polite, friendly and courteous staff. Unfortunately, unable to comment on food as we didn`t eat at the hotel.
Good central location. Care has been taken in room furnishing, including sofa and desk. Clean, sound proofed, air conditioned. Breakfast provision rather stretched by the number of guests and expensive. Cheaper to eat out. Good 10m swimming pool, jaccusi and other sports facilities. No children before 8.30am or after 6.30pm. Sensible!
Clean and convenient easy
Clean, great facilities and a good location
Very clean and staff helpful. Nice central location.
I can thoroughly recommend this hotel. Signing in was easy, taxis easy to get as they are outside the front door. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent. We enjoyed being able to sit in the bar after returning from the show we went to. We had two huge double beds in our room which were very comfortable and the whole room had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone.
Would recommend to anyone great value for money, rooms very clean hotel staff very helpful and it`s in a great location, about a 10 to 15 minute walk to kings cross station and underground`s so has easy transport to central London, I will defiantly be using hotel holiday inn again next time I visit Londo
Lovely hotel spotless everywhere food was good will definitly come again and strongly recommend to my family and friends.
Room was great and staff went out their way to be helpful and will use again
Our room had a door linking it to the adjoining room. A door is not as soundproof as a wall and we were next to a loud family with very lively children. We could hear every word, scream, shout and bang and this went on until midnight and restarted at 6.30 a.m. On checking in, we had been told that the hotel was full so realised that there would be no point asking to move rooms. We tried to ignore the noise but couldn`t to sleep until our neighbours had retired. We could smell cigarette smoke coming from the internal doorway. We were shocked to be told that the adjoining room was a smoking room, even though it is obvious that smoke travels through the doorway. I am surprised that the Holiday Inn chain expect their guests to pay to be exposed to potentially harmful cigarette smoke and that no one had anticipated this problem. Our stay was uncomfortable and far from relaxing. A word of warning to anyone who doesn`t like lifts.....there are no stairs from the reception area to the floors!
On arrival our room was not ready. So we put our luggage into the left luggage room and advised the reception staff that we would be back late. We were advised to come back to reception and collect our key. However when we git back we had not been checked in and the process took about half an hour. It was after 1pm and we were cold and tired. Once we had our key we had to collect our luggage. Once again the staff members dealing with this were not on hand. Another delay. Our TV welcome message had the wrong name. The TV remote was not working well. The drainage in the bath was poor. Room for improvement.
Refurbished and modern rooms and bathroom ms. Very comfortable beds. Good health club. Ok bar and breakfast. Noisy building works in car park. Very cold in public areas: reception, corridors, cloakrooms and health suite.
The Holiday Inn Kings Cross was a fantastic base to explore London, everything within walking distance and the rooms and service were fantastic, the pool and Jacuzzi just the thing after a long day walking. Great for adults and kids alike. Although refurbishment going on was still perfect. Highly recommended.
Hotel and staff are good. Bit far away from the attractions of the city though.
Lovely hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Kids free at breakfast. Would defo recommend this hotel
Lovely hotel, great staff. Problem with the electrics in our room at 2am. Had to be moved so not the best nights sleep. Management did wave our food and drinks bill as compensation. Wouldnt put me off going back.
Cannot fault the hotel excellent facilities
The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely book again.
Hot water in the room would be an advantage
Hotel is in a great location within easy walking distance of Oxford st, Mayfair etc. However cold showers first morning due to boiler break down. Second issue was the queue for breakfast, this meant a 30 min wait due to hotel being full i.e hotel couldn`t cope! Not impressed for the price you pay!!
Some maintenance in progress at the moment but not intrusive
Great hotel, even though they were going through a re-ferb we still found it to be a very good place to stay. One tiny niggle- only one out of three lifts working, probably connected to the work being carried out, otherwise great.
Under renovation. Some services running below par.
A very bad sleep because there is fire alarm on and off, in the middle of the night Everybody go out in the room because we thought there is a fire. I keep on ringing in the Reception because I want to ask what happen but nobody answer. My kids crying and panicking.
Really enjoyed our stay we were made to feel very welcome would definitely be back and also recommend to fads ily and friends and well worth the money we paid, and would rate you`d 5 star
There are renovations going on so a little noisy in the morning but we wereAware of that. The room was small for a family room but lovely and clean.Breakfast was great, the staff were very polite and helpful. The kids loved the pool.A good 10 min walk from Kings Cross but wasn`t too bad as weather was nice. we would recommend this hotel.
The reception staff were excellent, cleaning good, facilities ok
Staff very helpful and good central location for tube and getting around the city.
When we first arrived , we were aware that the hotel was having a refirb and thought that this may effect our stay, it didnt and we had a very enjoyable time at the Holiday Inn Kings Cross. The hotel was very busy as it was half term and this was most noticeable at breakfast time with a queue for tables. The staff were very keen to get people sat quickly and lessen their wait and were very apologetic about the slight delay. It didnt spoil it at all. Breakfast was of a good standard and no complaints from any of our family about the large choice available. I noted how hard the staff worked and how they all helped each other, always with a smile . The room was clean and with a modern contemporary style, we used the sofa bed so was a bit of a squeeze but no problem. Complimentary water, tea, coffee, hot choc, kit kat, fresh orange were an unexpected bonus too. Bathroom fabulous. I would definitely stay again x
Very friendly, helpful staff.
